Test Knitters Wanted – Riverrun Shawl

Update: All tester found, thank you very much

While the late summer sun was still warming my patio a few days ago, I took the first snapshots of my latest shawl design “Riverrun”. The name is – as you probably guessed – taken from the Game of Thrones series. I think the mosaic edge looks a bit like swirling water and I deliberately chose the wonderful blue-green Malabrigo Mechita yarn in my favorite Malabrigo colorway Teal Feather for an even more water-y appearance.

Mechita is a Fingerring weight yarn, but I wanted a soft, voluminous fabric so I used relatively large needles. I am very happy with the effect the simple seed stitch has on the handdied yarn. Look at all those highlights in the purl bumps!

I combined the Mechita with white DROPS Baby Merino fo a good contrast in the mosaic stripe and to set off the romantic lace edge. And not boasting or anything – I am very pleased about this particular design, I really think, it turned out great.

Riverrun is now up for test knittingĀ  please check out my Ravelry Group for further details.

  1. Hello
I am an experienced hand and, preferably machine knitter. I am interested in knitting yardage, tests, samples, reading and or translating patterns into German, my native language.

    Petra Maxwell

    • Hi Petra, sorry for the late reply šŸ˜€ . I am a native German speaker as well, but since I write the patterns originally in and do the German translation afterwards I am interested in beta readers or test knitters of the German versions. Can you mail me your contact data over the contact form?

      Liebe GrĆ¼sse
